New to TB of all kind and looking to lightly offroad and DD

HI to everyone!

I Just bought a 06 TB LS, don't really know anything about them. I am fairly mechanically inclined, can do most everything on my own except for trans and engine internals ( don't care for them). I spend most of my free time wrenching, hunting or spending time with my family (camping or doing something outdoors).

I recently got to looking at the different brush guards out there that are a joke! I found pictures of Mike's full bumper and brush guards at MDB Fab, WOW! those things are perfect in every way, so now I am searching for what other things I can do to this, it is a DD so it needs to still be functional but have potential. I don't do any hard core off roading, Michigan's back roads are bad enough! I live in South Eastern MI and this years winter has been extremely rough.

I also have a k3500 4x4 crew cab TD (my battle wagon), and a 2005 Bonneville GXP that is a garage queen.

if anyone wants to know anything just ask, I will try to be as helpful as possible on here.

Welcome to the site, be sure to browse the build threads for ideas. That will help you figure things out. If you aren't going hard core, you won't need things like 35 inch tires. But who knows you might want a 2 inch lift with 32's. All up to you.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

My only advice...if you think you will go bigger later, do it right away. It is far cheaper in the long run and everything for this platform is cheap compared to most offroad building.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Welcome fellow Michigander... I'm in the southern end of mid MI. just north of Jackson. We seem to be getting a better influx of people around here lately which is good.

I'm basically straight south of you at the MI/OH border! literally as far south as you can go in MI.

Welcome, I'm not to far from Jon. I'm in Harper Creek/Battle Creek.

When(if) it warms up, I'm gonna try to get a MI meet together for the folks from MI and surrounding states. Would be a good chance to get more ideas if you can make it
