Forum newb here. Like what I'm seeing. Didn't even realize guys were modding and tweaking TBs! After some reading, I'm looking forward to planning a build for my buddy's 04 Envoy. At 150k with piss poor maintenance along the way, the thing needs some work before modding can ever start. Got lots of nifty ideas floating around for it now though. Thanks for the inspiration! Also, ASE Master Tech, GM Master Tech, Chrysler Tech - Level 2. Always willing to throw out some advice where I can. Most of my dealings with TBs were all stock, but I've got access to great tech info for the stock systems. Ever need a good schematic, description and operation, illustrated breakdowns, specifications, etc just give me a shout.

Roll Tide!

Welcome! What a great resume you have! A few of us have the shop manuals and a bit of systems knowledge, but nothing like an insider!

You may also like the setup we have on the non-offroading-specific forums at gmtnation.com. We'd welcome your experience there as well.

If you discovered trailvoy.com in your searching - forget that place. All the volunteer tech folks, moderators, and admins left in 2011 after the site owner sold out to a Toronto-based corporation called Vertical Scope who does nothing but buy up enthusiast-run forums and turn them into ad farms. Trailvoy is now a ghost town not even worth visiting except for the tech threads we wrote before the new owners banned us all for "disloyalty" after we started gmtnation.com as a lifeboat.

The problem with the Trailblazer is, people think you know what you're doing.

Welcome! And since you put it out there, you bet I (and a few others) have a question! In the 02-05 models, do you have any info on what change is needed to let the computer know when you have changed gear ratios? Bacon and I both just swapped out our 3.42 gears for some 4.10s, which of course throws off the speedometer by 20%, but its also freaking out the ABS system. We're guessing its a programming change, but in all the calls I've made, nobody around here seems to be able to tell me how to correct this.
