I am looking at a 3 inch lift at this point. I am going to replace the shocks and struts/springs. I have found some struts made by Ultima.

I pass Acton everyday on my commute.

Never heard of those struts. Most use the Bilstien HD

The shocks and struts arrived today. Hopefully the lift kit will arrive tomorrow. I decided to try the ultimas. I am not sure who is more charged up about the lift, me or my 9 yr old. He is all about helping Dad.

Lift is in. It was not easy. I had some help from my son. He was the hold this, get me a 15mm socket guy. He done great. We test drove it and then we took the rest of the family to look at some Christmas lights. Extended test drive you could say. It rides good and it seems to be more responsive steering wise. I did how ever notice a very faint whine at highway speeds. Any ideas?

Wheel bearing or transfer case...

Has the tc been serviced regularly?

Does noise change as you turn?

I didn't notice the noise before I installed the lift. The noise is not while turning. I hear it the most on highway speeds. I may need to service the transfer case because I cant remember the last time.

Welcome from another Hoosier. I am in Warsaw.
