Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

just wondering where you guys have bought your wheels and tires, or if anybody has some suggestions to online places to get some new meats!

I've not used either site before but
http://www.tirerack.com has good prices
http://www.discounttiredirect.com does free shipping and it looks like they might price match.

I can usually find a local installer that I can get tires for at similar to internet prices, put on and balanced and then I have a local guy I can work with if I have problems especially if I am experimenting with a different sized tire.

Well, my wife's soon to be brother-in-law works for a Tire Rama back home, so we visit our local shop. They treat us pretty good and have put tires on 3 different vehicles for me now. They performed the alignment and worked with me on ordering new wheel/tire combo for our TB so they have a good understanding of what I have.

They matched internet pricing on the BFG's, yet even at that they where more expensive than the wheels. It was nice having professional opinions when trying to decide what would fit and what wouldn't rather than having to attempt fitting or measuring a new set up.

Also as noted above, having a local guy to work with when your trying something new is the way to go.

Thanks guys, I forgot about discounttire.com I have never used the internet to buy wheels or tires, except for craigslist to get my H3 wheels. I will probably end up going to a local place too, but I have 4 months to kill over here, and figured I would try to do some research.

dang Mike, I'm usually pretty quick but I've read this thread like 3 times and just realized why you posted that link to the meat site. I thought you posted a bad link the first time.
