When I had JKS disconnects, I'd just remove one side entirely and carry it inside. The other side end link being on won't hurt.

Bungee cord or currently...unhooked and just flipped up. It has not moved down in a few days.

I did the same, but I think my tire rubs on the end link slightly on very sharp (U) left turns. I've only heard it twice, and I suspect that's what the sound was.

is this permanent removal or a "quick disconnect", temporary thing for offroading only?

My brother also did the same thing but now he thinks the tire rubs on sharp turns. So my brother now wants to upgrade the bars with a whole new sway bar link kit. But we we're both wondering what brand is a good replacement for it. Do you have any suggestions?

Not sure where you are going with this. If he disco'ed and it rubbed where he flipped it up, changing the links will not prevent this. Is he wanting a new swaybar, new links, or a custom setup?

I say just remove it. I dont have issues with mine flipped up so i leave it, but would remove it if it hit at all.

Benefit is nil for on road. But not having to disconnect for offroad saves a bit of time, every time. I haven't been motivated enough, but I am going to completely remove my front bar. From what I understand, the stiffness the lift provides the front suspension makes up for a little bit of the body roll. Driving won't be dangerous at all.
