Hey my name is Chris and I'm from Central Jersey. I have a 2002 Chevy S-10 ZR2

For those unfamiliar with the ZR2 package:

Ladder-type Frame with modified mounting points
100mm wider track (3.9 inches wider than regular S-10)
Increased ground clearance (Approx 3" over Regular S-Series 4x4)
Enhanced front (7.25" ring gear) and rear (8.5" ring gear) axles w/ 3.73:1 rear-axle ratio
    Larger wheel and axle bearings
    31 x 10.50" BFG A/T Tires
46mm gas pressurized Bilstein Monotube shocks
    Rear track bar
    CF Skid plates
    Front/rear disc brakes

Hopefully I'm welcome here. I would like to meet up with you guys local to me and see what a TB is capable of.

Pics of my truck are on my cardomain page in the link in my sig

Welcome.

I swear half of the members on this site seem to be from Jersey, so I am sure you will find someone to give you a walk through on our platforms capabilities.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Of course you're welcome here. The Blazer/S-10 is essentially our closest living relative.

Very cool... I always like the little ZR2s I see running around... I wish they made a ZR1 TrailBlazer... for some reason that package never made it.

Gm Hasn't made a light duty truck with a solid front axle since the K5 Blazers production ended. All S-10's Blazer's Silverdo's Tahoe's Suburbans and Vans have had an IFS 4x4 system. The only 4x4 that GM producing with a solid front axle is the Kodiak or Topkick.

Anyways, I'm from Tinton Falls, not too far from you, I haven't been wheeling in a few months but we all definately need to get out there together.

Yeah, I was hoping the "enhanced" meant "swapped for solid". Actually, I haven't done any research on what front IFS enhancement was done in the ZR2 package. More splines and different CV shafts?

I copied that off of wikipedia. I honestly don't know what exactly the enhancement is.
