Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Speed sensor

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

While drive the abs light and the brake light will come on and I plug my scanner on and it reads that the right front and the rear speed sensors. I forgot the codes that come up. Just wondering where the rear sensor is located. I read on trailvoy that it is in the transfer case. Anybody ever have this problem before?

IIRC, 02-05 the rear speed sensor is on the back of the transfer case

Correct Dustin 06+ there are dual VSSs on the rear axle shafts.

There are two on the back of the transfer case, one is the rear propshaft speed sensor, which outputs to the TCCM, the other outputs to the PCM/ABS. I know Mario (Gordinho80) had an issue with his rear VSSs recently, you might be able to find some information from him about where it's located exactly.
