THANK YOU YOUTUBE! I found this great site via Youtube of all things lol , Im totally diggin' it! My Name is Eric and I live in the Beautiful State of West Virginia. My Wife and i are into Toyota's and trail Riding, some mudding and generally just Out for a weekend Ride. Mid Last year ( 2013 ) my wife found this Nice Chevy trailblazer that he best friends husband had and was looking to sell it. So We purchased the Rig and figured we would use it as a daily driver since we paid next to nothing for it. Then it happened..... Our Toyota got stuck and My Full sized was in the shop, so We needed to get the yoder un stuck so my wife suggested to use the blazer, Im thinking Meh not enough guts in this thing to pull its self let alone tow something else... BOY was I surprised! Anyhoo We got the yoder out and As i drove home i thought why not re build this thing and make it into a dialy driver weekend Rig? So Little By little We have been tweaking my rig, as Of now it has 31/10/50's and a borla exhaust and a brush guard , This year We plan to add a lift kit, and fix some of the odd and ends that has been broken as well as any suggestions on making it safer for not only my daily driving use but our weekend off road/trail fun. below is a winter picture(s) of my rig...

Welcome Erik, through TECORE I've become fond of West Virginia/Virginia area. I grew up mostly in IA,OK,MO and TX myself.

I think you'll find yourself with a very capable daily driver with a basic 2.5-3" lift, radiator and oil pan skids and some 32s.

If you want to get more aggressive you obviously can. There are plenty more options with varying degrees of reliability. We encourage taking some time and researching the options. With any luck we'll see you at TECORE!

Welcome to the site Eric. Be sure to visit the build threads to see what others have done for ideas. And you can check out the Trail Reports to get an idea of what certain setups are capable of.

v7guy gave you great advice on what seems to be the all around sweet spot.

Welcome! Considering you seem to have experience wheeling... I would recommend the Radiator skid plate as a place to start. I use that skid like a red headed step child.

31-10.50's....are they 15s? Did you use adaptors?

Sounds like your truck did what mind did to me...surprised the heck out ya nd got the wheels turning to make it into something more fun and capable. You got the right ideas I think, so WELCOME.

Welcome! I'm compelled to mention to all new members if they're new to the platform, that the transfer case fluid change interval is a surprisingly short 50K miles, and it ONLY takes GM Auto Trak II fluid. 2 liters. How many miles does it have, and are you current on the TC fluid and the other 100K maintenance?
