i have a 2002 gmc envoy xl and have found this lift kit online...http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-Trailblaz ... 8d0....its a 6" full lift kit. what looks to be mostly spacers. i was wondering if anyone has used this or heard about this kit? ive seen lots of stuff about the differential needing to be dropped or the steering components needing to be replaced. is this true? and how bad? i love my truck and really want to see it lifted about 6". any information will help me in my search! :salut:

As the guy who did the CAD drawings of the body lift brackets, I can tell you, that's a straight up copy of Mark's/High Voltage's body lift. This is including the small tabs with the 2 holes that don't go to anything.

Welcome to the site. Tread at your own risk in regards to those ebay kits. It's a question that has been answered here before. Just use the search button. Spend some time in the build threads to get ideas and see what others have done.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

As mentioned that's pretty much a collection of the body and suspension lift offered by MarkMC. The MarkMC kits are good, the ebay kits... who knows.

You might be interested in the coilover group purchase going on now, you've got a few more days to put in the order at an extremely attractive discount.

All the basics are covered here pretty well, the stickies are your friends. Start reading the stickies and then do some searching for further questions and you'll have most of your answers. We're happy to help after you've done some "homework".

The 5" versus 6" description looks like simple cut and paste goof with inadequate proofreading. They seem to mix and match 2" and 3" rear spacers into different kits. Putting a 3" stilt spacer into the rear with OEM springs is a pretty mall-ish thing to do IMHO.

Unless we can see obvious flaws in craftsmanship I don't know that we can knock a lift if there aren't some reviews of it.

If anyone builds anything with a market, someone will come along and build a copy of it cheaper because they don't have to spend as much in R&D. The result may or may not be of similar quality.

One of the problems I see with supporting those vendors is it could discourage the guys that are willing to invest in the R&D from doing so to give us new things like panhard bar drop brackets.

Support the guys that did the R&D to bring it to us to help us do what we are wanting. Especially if you know nothing of the products you are looking at.

Oh and welcome to the site.

Just a FYI..
That body lift in the pic is a 2" kit.. same as Zone offroad..
The brackets are 2" and the body lift blocks are also 2"..
The suspension lift is a copy of my 2.5" kit that includes some small spacers that go on the lower side of the strut rod just under the upper mounts to give the extra 1/2" of front lift..
Not sure how they can advertise that amount of lift..i was always conservative cus theres always that one guy that will complain if not up to advertised spec..lol

Still not a bad kit,, competition is always good for the community here.. keeps every builders prices from being monopolized..imo
However, Your customer service needs to be highest of priority or failure is imminent..

i thank the members here for your support over the years and i am still committed to bringing new affordable products to the table.

thanks again

I just read the description and saw this

"....Other lifts on the market this size will force you to make irreversible modifications to your truck and one slipup with your angle grinder or torch may compromise the entire safety of your vehicle. Each kit is specifically made for your truck and does not put you in a position that can destroy your truck...."

The way you have to hack up the rear receiver, I wouldn't want to go back to stock and have to tow anything substantial.

Its professional, straight shooting, responses like this that make all the difference when I decide who to spend my money with, and when time comes Ill be contacting Mark for a lift or two, possibly body and suspension. :)

I came from the GM Jbody platform (cavalier, sunfire for example) before purchasing my TB, the Jbody is a dead platform that has a very small aftermarket to start with, so most non standard or upgrade parts come from cross platform sourcing, custom one off homemade parts, and grass roots vendors or "guys in garages" similar to Marks operation. So over the years Ive been able to slowly figure out which ones are worth buying from and are not, and which will not last, or sell a good product.

From just the small amount if time Ive been on this forum Ive deduced that Mark is an asset who should be supported at every chance we can get, skilled parts designers who run a good business dont come around a lot, and this paltform needs all the help it can get with its parts market. So take it from a guy who usually builds oddball vehicles with no support, buy Marks lift(s) so he can make us other cool stuff down the road. it will be worth it for you and all of us. :flex dirty:
