Hello from Ft.Drum, NY

New members: please introduce yourself here.

Hello offroadtb community,
My name is James I have been lurking on the site for a few months now, and figured I would join. I have learned a ton just searching around and reading this site. If it was not for the forum I would not have been able to get my truck to the point it's at now. I am located in Adams,NY which is about 20 mins away from Ft.Drum. Anyway I figured I would just introduce myself here. Here is a little trip I took the other day! Hope you all have a good one.

Welcome! I'm going to be really jealous of your Fall colors soon! Lots of great areas to discover and play in Northern NY, especially in the Adirondacks.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! It's already starting to cool off up here. And some leaves are changing. I live right at the bottom of the tug hill. I know it's not the Adirondacks, but there are plenty of trails around. Might take a late fall trip up there though.

Just to let everyone know, I grew up in Louisiana. I met my wife up here when I was stationed at Drum during my Army career. I liked it so much that after I was medically retired we moved back! I love that in the summer you don't need the ac on.

Welcome to the site. Nice looking rig! I am partial to that color myself.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

Thanks mikekey, I love this color, but it looks better covered in mud. My
wife's truck is the dark blue, and it's not so bad either.

Glad to have you here. Although, we don't really need ANOTHER James... we're becoming the next Mike.

Sounds good to me. There are tons of Trailblazers around here but no one takes them offroad.
Right now I just go out with a few buddies and they all have f150's.

I may have just found an excuse to go home to NY to visit. Oh, and maybe see family too. Lol

My family owns a cabin on one of the lakes in the Tug Hill area. Darned if I can't remember the name right now.....but I do remember going up there to visit in the winter, parking at the local gas station, and riding on a snowmobile to the cabin over the 12+ feet of snow in the road to bring my Uncle groceries. Good times!!

Yes, tons of snow up here in the winter. This will be the first one that I have seen in a while. I was stationed at Ft. Polk, LA for 3 years then spent some time in the mountains of Afghanistan as a contractor. So I'm looking forward to getting out in it.
