You're fine. Trans within 10-15F of what the engine temp is, is actually pretty good for the I6. At long as the trans stays under 240F, absolutely nothing to worry about. Above that, it's a "time above temp" thing. More specifically, a "work above temp" thing. You can idle all day long with the trans sump temp at 240F and it's no problem, because the fluid isn't getting much higher. However, if you're towing a trailer in the mountains and the sump temp is 240F, the temp out of the TC to the cooler is likely close to 300F, which really starts to oxidize fluid. Idling in traffic, no big deal.
