washers from mark mc lift

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

by oc3273 » Tue Feb 28, 2012 12:47 pm

I bought a used markmc lift that had no washers with it, now I'm starting to realize that's a bigger deal than I thought. Does anyone know if I can use the stock washers, modify them or not use them at all? I had put aside ths weekend to get this done as I just got all shocks and struts delivered I would like to stick to that plan.

Thanks for any help guys,
Dave

in his instructions it says you need to use the new washer.
PM Mark, he may sell you just the washers or tell you what size you need to pick up at the hardware store.

You can mod the ones you have. Mark had to do it for awhile when he couldn't get the right ines from anywhere.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

i buy them special made, so i doubt you will find them at any hardware store..

One option is to purchase a couple sets of Monroe upper mount kits from local auto parts, they will have the smaller washers you need..
And you might as well replace the upper mounts while you have the assembly apart anyway..imo..

Soak your upper and lower strut mount nuts with penitrant asap!! PB Blaster works best..

Mark is your 3" suspension lift exactly 3" on front and rear? Or is there a leveling factor?

So the front end will still sit lower than the rear.

it is 3 inches front/2 inches rear.
I think our rear is 1-1.5 inches taller than the front.
So it should be pretty level or a small amount of rake.
