Bushwacker Fender Flares Group Buy Offer

I don't really have a need for flares and doubt I will. I am curious though, maybe I missed it. Do you have any examples of models they would be similar to?

I mean if I look at the blazer "extend-a-flare", they are pretty neat and clean but the "cut out" flares for like a Grand Cherokee are kind of bulky.

Are there any images or links you can post so we can look at them?

Otherwise, I would guess the Cherokee design would be similar for the "cut out" flares if that is the one choses vs the look of the "extend-a-flare" design on the blazer you looked at. We are being given the choice of one or the other, and the one with the most votes win type of deal at this point. This makes it important for everyone to evalutate the purpose and need for each type when they do the survey.

From your pics then, these will completely sit over our existing fender line? Looks like it will work with Mike's bumper up front no problem, just leaves the rear to figure out if we want a custom bumper.

The rear should have a gap separating the body flare piece and the bumper piece. Should be no issue with rear bumpers. See the ZJ grand cherokee for example.

If we were even remotely close to a number they think they could work with, there would be a lot more noise in this thread. The reality is that a handful of us made noise and said we would buy these if they were produced, but nobody ever expected it to happen. Now that there is a time limit the wallets are a little harder to open, especially when faced with the staggering numbers required to actually put these into production. Although the idea and price are great, I think the probability of reaching the magic number is a bit out of reach. I do believe that Bushwacker can still be a source for flares, if and when someone gets the balls to modify a set from a different make/model. Once it has been proven that it is possible, there will be no shortage of requests. I know "they won't fit", but they will will enough gentle manipulation.

If I was closer, I would gladly offer up my vehicle to test other model flares.
