More progress. Near completion...
Still need to figure out what to do with my solenoid box, and also need to seam weld the sides of the winch plate to the stock bumper (the front is already done). May ditch the tow hooks and cut the stock bumper down a bit more...
Looking for input from engineer types on where I might need to put some extra support.

This should help keep the vibrations out of your lights and strengthen that bar against frontal impacts a bit more.

I considered something like that, but the hoop is damn solid. Still, can't be too strong.
Should I take off from the existing joints on the hoop like in your picture or move up/down a little?

If you go from the existing joint, you'll make the wings and the top hoop stronger as a system - but it probably won't matter too much if you offset it some. Triangles that share intersection points are essentially the strongest designs because they don't induce as much bending - keeps most of the stresses in tension or compression only (where rods tend to be strongest).
Plus, if you share the same intersection point - you could cover the entire opening on each side with some sheet. That'd look cool and really strengthen things in the vertical plane.
