Help - trail steering failure

Something not working right?

by TangoBravo » Thu Dec 02, 2010 4:48 pm

just about everything under there is adjustable, so if nothing else is broken/bent then it's a matter of figuring out what needs to be adjusted and getting at it. Do you have any idea what you hit? Could there be more serious damage that maybe you haven't noticed yet? unless there is more you and we are not noticing then yeah it should be fairly straight foward. Everything is harder when your cold and dirty in the middle of nowhere and you don't always notice everything at first.

Lessons learned the hard way are lessons learned for life. I am trying to picture hitting a stump like that and thinking of what it could have done. So far I am with JD on this one may just need to undue the bolts and slide you LCA back into place, again barring nothing else is damaged. Wish you luck my friend stick with it and you'll get it done.

He's lucky he didn't have good axles... Around here (Hoosier National Forrest), they take all the shit off and out of the truck (like they did to him), then put a winch line over it and flip it over, then take the axles, wheels/tires, and T-case...

wow, that really blows sorry to hear that man. I think if he don't get that truck out quick they will be back for the rest of whatever they want. Tends to be how it is here first they take the good, easy, expensive stuff then come back for what they missed or just to shoot it up for fun.

So mark poped that cherry , yep lost allot but more to gain, if insurance takes care if it her I can 35" tires and body lift,

But thanks to them my front sits 37.5" from ground to fender 24.5" center hub to fender,

But it all happens for a reason, got the truck home in a limp, 20 mph and sounding like a firetruck siren stuck on the same sound, I think it was cause my tire had a really bad angle cause the tie rod repair, but both sides were making it so I'm hoping the .20" difference in tire size didn't mess up my 4wd thanks to one new tire :)
