Bumper cover modification with offroad lights

I get the idea behind what you did. I would get some larger diameter lights that stand up just a little taller. My eyes just keep getting pulled to the holes in the bumper with those lights. Bigger lights would fill the gaps in I think.

The lower edge cuts with tow hook access is very cool. I was surprised when I looked in on a "vote for this photo" thread on the OS that had rules to have an animal in the picture - how many folks use the tow hooks for dog leash hooks.

I like the lights too. Let's not forget functionality. Your winch will fit below the lights perfectly.

Thanks for the feedback everybody. This project is hardly finished, and I think came out pretty good for being freehanded with a utility knife. I'm definitely going to be tweaking the light holes, but all of this is just a stopgap measure until I can get the funds to have Neil make my tube bumper masterpiece.

Wolfpack, winch isn't going in the front remember? It's getting mounted in the rear storage well area and the winch line is running front and rear.

Main point of this project was to mount lights on top of bumper support, then evolved into putting cover back on, then involved trimming bottom. So I feel this project was wildly successful. Keep the critiques coming.

And I hope to have the full bartonmd set as soon as I have some spare cash.

Far better than nothing. I like it other than the lights. I am gonna have to see where the rad skid comes out and work around it though, but I think this is better than the low hanging stock.

I'd love to do something like this, but it would be nice to know if I'd have to fab up some new mounts. I know the side ones can be bent to make them work, but how about the front?

Actually, part of the reason for cutting off the bottom of the cover was so that I could access the area where I would attach the cover with self-drilling screws. Sides aren't attached, but they aren't floppy at all. I may even cut the sides some more so that I have similar tire clearance to what I had before.

My front bumper has been held on with only the 2 center screws by grill and bige side clips for awhile, but my one side clip did remove itself fromt the bumper this weekend, so i need to figure a way to reattact it. it always felt solid, but somehow the plastic rivet things pulled off

My side bracers have been messed up ever since I rearended my buddy in the parking lot at work one day...this is a modification that I will be doing when I get home! bottom gonna get cut up!!!
