Here is my plan:
I am going to get the MarkMC lift
Bilstiens front and rear
Z71 Springs
I am going to wait on spacers/wheel/tires until I now for sure if I am going to keep the stock rims.

Got a couple questions. Is this the highest I can get my TB? I know about the oil pan thing, but I thought I saw something somewhere saying we can get an extra inch or two? Is that true? If so...what do I need to do to get it?

Also can I get 285/75/16's on my stock rims? I know about spacers and cutting, I am wondering if they will fit on the rim.

Sorry for asking questions that I know I can probably find thourgh search, but this internet sucks, and I only really have a little bit of time when I can get online.

Yes markmc is the highest practical lift, I would go with bds part number 55619 (order 2) for the rear shocks as you'll be very disappointed with bilsteins back there.

A 3" body lift is available from mark, a 2" body lift from zone offroad. These don't give you any more ground clearance but make it easier to fit larger tires.

285/75/16 will physically fit on the stock rims but are not recommended... too wide for the 7" rim. Go with 255/85/16 if you want 33's on the stock rims.

WOW! A quick search on 255/85/16's and I get one tire... BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2. And they are 190$ to 200$ A piece! I think I can get some used H3 rims and some tires to fit them for that kind of money!?

Those Maxxis tires look pretty good...I think I might be sold on those....unless the local tire shop has something that is cheaper!

Anyhow, Phil is partially correct in saying MarkMC is the biggest lift out there.

In reality, BDS with a 1/2" top spacer from Suspension-Maxx is just about the best you can do. That yields close to 3" of lift.

A few of our members have done that conversion. I know Gordinho80 has.

I believe Mark also sold a top spacer in his thread on the OS for $25 to someone...

My Procomps and Teebes' Toyos that got us on the Rubicon are $200+ tires. And you have to have 5 or 6 to be properly equipped for long trips. Just gotta budget for it if your mission requires it.

I can't mention it over on the OS, but anybody who's seeing ads just hasn't gotten the memo to use the free "Ad Block Plus". Wonderful plug in for Firefox. Might work with other browsers. I dunno about that, I'm just a loyal Firefox user.

There's ads on the OS? Hmmm... may be I haven't noticed because I've been using ABP for the past 2 years.

Agreed on the Procomps and Toyos. The Toyos in particular are super expensive, hovering around $225-230 per tire. They're also super heavy, part of the reason I'm leaning toward the Maxxis tires. That, and I've heard great things about Bighorns on ExPo, one of my new favorite sites.

Another good way to block ads is using the MVPS Hosts file. Simple HOSTS file replacement that redirects most ad requests back to yourself. Extremely fast as it even bypasses a DNS lookup to the ad server. Might be a problem if you run your own web server on the browsing machine though...

His lift and buying shocks on my own is still cheaper by far than buying the whole BDS kit. I might be able to talk the wife into getting the shocks at the same time. Anyone have any last minute suggestions for shocks?

Based on personal experience... don't do Z71 takeoffs.

Haven't installed mine yet, but the word here is to use Bilstein HDs for the front with BDS rears. You can order the BDS rears directly off their website, $47 each. Might have to check if they'll ship to you though...

Is your TB standard? or does it have the 2nd windshield like this Envoy?
