Which one you going to lift first?
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

Well on the 2004 I just replaced:

Upper and lower ball joints(mevotechs)
Inner and outer tie rods(moog)
Wheel bearing(Timken)
Lower Control arm brackets(both sides)
Swaybar end links(suspension maxx) front and back
Strut mounts
Bilsteins(front and back)
A set of Goodyear assurance tires

This is the wife's vehicle so it would have to be the SS. I have it lowered right now, but tired of it. Any ideas on lift?

Yep. Lots of ideas and tips. You have just a few days to get in on a discount on Radflo front suspension. That covers your front lift, upgraded shock, and upgraded spring. I was just at the Badlands in my SS. If you get yours functioning, I think we will be the only 2!

Well I have a Magnuson Supercharger on mine not sure how it would do on the trails. I'm not worried about pricing because I'm a aftermarket parts distributor(launching in 2014). What mods on your SS?

First, I highly doubt your discount is going to help you on Radflo. They are a specialy shop.
Second, Yep! I know Lynwood well!

Dang, I want the Magnuson. I'm convinced it would be fine on the trails. You're problem is in your transfercase. Let me try to explain. My build really started with blowing my transmission. I got a high end rebuild, and blew that up in 12 hours. Three more blown transmissions later, I decided to go big instead of going home. I've swapped in a 4L80E transmission and a full size truck NP246 selectable transfercase. Now that I've run it both ways, I can tell you the AWD doesn't function like 4WD does. It allows WAY more slip between the front and rear. I've heard of a few people considering putting the Trailblazer Tcase into an SS for selectable 4wd. My problem with that is that I don't trust it to hold up to our power, especially yours. I have never loved my truck more than I do lifted.

I have a build sheet. The link is at the bottom of all my posts.

There is a large group of us buying these for a reason. For someone who plans to lift, the additional cost is minimal and the product seems superior.

I happen to have a 2300TVS sitting in a box.

Still can't find an SS I want to buy. Do what Erik says. I used to offroad a Bravada, AWD is not the same.

Just wondering about your (Badlands) in the title... Do have a rig you wheel there or something? I know Crown Point is a good distance North of there. Used to share a house at Purdue with a girl that ended up marrying a guy from my hometown and she was from CP.

Several of us go fairly often there. Next run will likely be the New Year's/Hangover trip.

I'm linking up with ErikSS. I'm either going to do my SS, or my 4.2. Talked with Erik last night and got some pretty good ideas for the SS. I can usually get to the badlands in 1hr and a half. I have 2 850cc ATV's I take there all the time.

Used to take our quads there too. Was nice when I was when I was an hour away, but now its about 2 for me.

The SS will cost a bundle more, but be sweet in the end and something different. I personally would do the 4.2 unless you went SAS. We still have a tiny front diff for the power the SS's put out stock, much less yours. With the SS, there should be available oil pans making a low slung SAS much simpler than a 4.2 SAS and a SAS will make a stronger, more flexible, more capable rig than the stock TB configuration front suspension with any available lift.
