Hey guys, I'm a long time lurker. Started as a Google searcher...found tons of info on tvoy. Joined because of the great archives(thanks to most on this site) but tons of spam! So then I lurked on GMT for a while, joined and found this site. Lurked for a while and have bought most of my lift using great info from you guys. So far I have a pair of Z71's bought on fleabay for $35, shipped using work's UPS for free! :excited: Also on fleabay I bought a new in box Smaxx 1.75" for the front, $60 shipped. I don't think I've done too bad so far. Now I'm just debating on rear shocks..BDS, Skyjackers, or Bilstein's.
My mission is pretty simple, nice solid trailblazer with some off road fun. I am waiting to do my lift till I have everything. I want to upgrade my rear diff with a 14 bolt and regear up front, though I'm kinda torn after reading all the horror stories on swapping front diffs... I've taken the recommendations of this site to make sure I change all fluids and maint first.

We've had the trailblazer for about 4 years. I started out with my 03 F150 6" lift and 33's. I have been a pipefitter for the last 14 years and drove this truck back and forth to the east coast for about two years.. needless to say that didn't work out to well with gas prices, so I traded for a 06 Impala SS. Absolutely loved this car. But with my never satisfied attitude I traded yet again for a 07 1500. Honestly I wasn't too impressed with this truck. I has all kinds of problems in just 8 months that I owned the truck. Sooo when the wife got knocked up I bought her the Trailblazer. She drove it for about 2 years, after an afternoon of taking out the front seats just to get all the garbage out and cleaning squeezes out of the back seat I decided to get her a van. That leaves me with the trailblazer to "play" with as I have a company truck and this is our 3rd vehicle.

I only live about 10 miles from Bundy Hill near Jerome Mi. When I had my wrangler we used to go and spend the day there. I am looking forward to building my trailblazer and having fun there once again.

The problem with the Trailblazer is, people think you know what you're doing.

Welcome fellow Michigander. I am not too far from you, I just moved from Farmington Hills to Springport. We are still trying to get setteled in (Having problems getting the closing on our old house) but once that is done I will be instralling my lift. I already have Marks 3" sitting in a box so can't wait. We do most of our wheeling in northern Michigan but would love to find some things more local to us. Glad to know there is someone close

No, no, no..... :poke:

The right phrase is: "I succeeded in a persuasive argument that the mods I plan to make are SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS. Now she's INSISTING that I get them done ASAP instead of risking our necks every day without them."

See the difference?

:excited:

Good phrase but some how I can see my wife seeing right through that. LOL

Understood, but sometimes it's a winky-wink game we have to play. Of course you have to give up something later to HER. Sometimes TWO things.

ROFL I hear ya, the real trick is getting her think it is her idea. Remember doing some of that during my computer mod years. But the cost of that is way below modding the TB. ;)
