newer owner of a 06 Trailblazer and have started the process of learning about the apparently non functioning 4wd system I now possess...LOL.

Anyway I am delving into the tech section and Thank everyone who has posted and supplied the neccessary flowcharts and troubleshooting wisdom. ALL the best !

welcome Sean, hope you can get the 4wd going. Have you switched it into 4wd with the truck off to hear the 2 motor sounds?

Sean, the real funny thing is that I almost banned you before opening your thread thinking you were a spammer. We've had a bunch of spammers and your subject of "Hallo!" followed by your immediate post in Mario's classified ad made me think "another dang spammer, I'll get him!!!!" then I opened your thread and saw it was for real.

Nav, chuckle spam seems to be all pervasive nowadays.
Jonbo, yep have both sounds. Following the troubleshooting chart and having a good understanding of how it all works now, I think I am in need of the front axel disconnect, steering wheel position sensor and due to some symptoms i experienced last winter a TCCM. (and possibly some sensors on the drivetrain)
