Hi,

Rabbitdave here. I have my wife's old 2002 LTZ that I need to upgrade to a more off-road kinda SUV. It has some scratches and a misaligned hood, rear door is bent and doors have poor alignment from a wreck from the previous owner along with some electrical gremlins most likely a bad ground. Perfect for "playing around with" to make this dual purpose machine (daily driver/off road zombie machine). I show rabbits, hence he name. So I have to keep it drivable on the highway to get to shows every now and then.

Order of expected upgrades base on the short time on the boards:

BDS 2" lift kit (suspension needs updating since it is getting old and sloppy)
WAAG grill guard for pesky deer and sticks
New Tires and rims
New Front Bumper
New Rear Bumper (lots of scratches from a run in with a barb wire fence)
Lights
Rear tire mount.

That should keep me busy and poor for a while. If you have any suggestions, just let me know. I am open to anything as I go down this trail of upgrading my ride.

Welcome..lots of information on the site

A good replcement for the lift is one from markmc..he has the 3 in but not sure if his older 2.5 is available. Also theres loads of info on shocks and suspension setups. Check out the lift setup threads for more ideas or just search around

Hey, you're in Indy! I'm in Indy!

Since vendors aren't allowed to jack peoples' threads to get them to buy stuff, I'll just tell you to look around a little bit, and NOT to spend money on replacing any bumpers, or buying grill guards or spare tire mounts...

I hear there's a fabricator here (both here on the forum and in Indy) who will sell you a full custom steel offroad bumper with a tube brush guard on it, for less than the price of a full 3-piece WAAG brush guard...

I also hear he's a hit with the ladies, and is very well endowed... Right?... ... Right?...

I saw the nice work MDB. Will take that under advisement. Lift and shocks and tires will have to be the starting place for these mods though.
