You need real rock sliders the metal under the plastic is good for 2 things.

Getting hung up and ripping the sheetmetal it's bolted to, rock sliders are designed not to catch on stuff and are welded to the frame. I still need to get some but ditched the boards after I got stuck on them, I was lucky I wasn't doing something where they ripped off and could take some of the body with them.

This looks like the guy who backed into the river and who's buddy took off because of the police coming. First mod, loose the carfax plate and front bumper.

That guy remounted the plate holder on the steel bumper just to put the CarMax plate back on..... Either way lose the carMax plate.

Fixed the fax/max screw up

"carfax plate"? Is bumper removal a good first mod? I did a carfacts but bought it from CarMax...

Same shit... I would do the bumper as a first mod because its free. And you will end up taking it off anyways down the road. Delete the res. Buy your lift kits first, then decide what tire size you want. I've had to buy 2 different set of tires because I didn't make up my mind at first.

My mind was made for me sort of... I got an extended warranty that has very fair benefits. Although 255/70R16 is the biggest they would allow. BDS claims that their 2" lift keeps everything in normal range of motion but nobody from BDS can convince my warranty company of that! :wallbash: I just want enough 4X4 to drive through the deer lease ya know! "Delete the res." is there a purpose other than helping it from getting clogged? Would that make my kids sleepy on road trips?

Deleting the res will give you alittle bit more power(like 1 or 2 horses) but it sounds better. There's a great write up on it. There's also a youtube vid showing how to do it on our TB's. The tire issue sucks, but that's better then nothing. You should take a look at the tire chart on the forum to make sure you don't need any mods for that size. You may need wheel spacers to clear the upper ball joint. If I wasn't on my blackberry I would look for you.

Seriously lose the entire running boards. If you want sliders get real sliders, what is left of the boards can screw you up pretty bad.

A little intro wouldn't hurt your rep either David.

They mostly collect mud, I haven't been arount any "rocks" but I intend on taking them off asap. I am just affraid of slipping and sliding into something and nothing being there to hit but the painted body :( I updated and did a lil intro, I'm not sure what you guys would like to know about me so I did the best I could...
