I agree with both of them. However as Roadie has mentioned before, I wheeled my TB for several years before doing ANY modifications or even discovering this site (strange how they happened at the same time...)
I got a hand-me-down skid plate... ehem, excuse me, I was bequeathed a piece of TB history, the first oil pan skidplate MDB made, S/N 00001.
I probably wheeled with just that for a few weeks before the lift install. But I must say the most noticeable mod I've made thus far (abilities-wise) is the tires. going from a 29" to the 33" made massive amounts of difference for me. But it's all a ladder to climb. Looking for lockers, next.
Pretty much gotta gear your priorities list off of your mission and funds. Typically it usually is: skids, lift, spacers/tires, etc. First and foremost, recovery gear/comm gear is top priority.
