Lifts

Hey everyone my name is John and I have an '07 Chevy trailblazer that I really want to lift so I can put some nice 33" or 35" tires on. I go offroading and muddying with my friends but sometimes I can't take my truck because it isn't fit for the conditions. I was really wondering if you guys could help me out with what you guys used on your trucks to lift them and how much you think I should. I'm not really on budget but I am still in college so all the money I can save the better.

Thanks.

Welcome to the site. The lift and other things you choose will mostly be personal preference. I suggest s lot of reading and searching on here. Especially the Build Thread. Should find something there you want to emulate.

Welcome, there are a few posted sticky threads put up to assist in helping you choose your lift options. I'd suggest you figure out your lift goals and start from there, also be ready to have parts begin to fail once you lift. Cv shaft boots, wheel bearings, etc.

welcome, do some research. After you do some research then come back with your plan and more importantly your goals.
Update your profile so we know where you are from.
You mention you like to go offroading and mudding.
Offroading in different parts of different states mean different things.
The guys on this board can help you make sure your plan meets your goals while minimizing wasted money.

They can give advice like "do not buy a bull bar or grille guard as they reduce your ground clearance".
"Please consider a search before posting. Folks on this site PIONEERED functional offroad use of these trucks."

This helped me decide what I wanted to do it has everything you'll need (tire size, lift , mods needed) and includes the build thread

Took me awhile to figure this out but when they talk about 87's 89's etc. they are talking about factory spring part numbers cuz some springs are stiffer than others and will give you a lil more lift than others without sagging

I believe it has to do more with keeping the "ride" as close to factory as possible, depending on what's bolted to the front end. Weight wise...

You got a lot of good advice here. Most of the info is posted in stickies. 33s and up are going to require cutting the fenders for clearance. 87,88,89, they all refer to the last two digits of gm part numbers for stiffer springs. At this point I believe only 89s are available as we've bought them all.
