How's it going? I'm Jacob. I live in Indiana, the utopia of nothing. Just got into off-road driving. Haven't done much. Got my Trailblazer in January and love it. I want to upgrade my blazer for Search an Rescue, since I just got onto a fire department, but I alsp like doing trail drives and just off-roading in general. I dont know where to start, so any suggestions and people near me that would be able to help or point me in the right direction, I would love it. And I would like to know how to join a chapter and go on some excursions.

Welcome!

I spent 4.5 years in West Lafayette, 1999 - 2004.

Lots and lots of info around here, if you search... Actually, most of the info around here is good, so you can literally just go through the forums, and look at built threads...

Lots of ways to start.

Make sure you're in to it before you throw thousands of dollars into your truck. :thumright:

Oh, I just figured out who you were... Just a note: Turning your TB into both a drag truck and an off-road rig are sort of mutually exclusive...

He knows that. Figured offroad was more a feasible way to go. Might meet up on Wednesday and show him mine and regulators rigs...

Hey, glad you saw the error in your previous thoughts! Welcome.

I just picked up a new wheel bearing, and my computer is supposed to be in tomorrow, so hopefully it works that I can have my truck on Wednesday as well. If not you can see what a lowered Bravada looks like. Either way I should be seeing you Wednesday.

See you in a bit. Hopefully we can get you a plan together and get you ready for some trails. You live right by Badlands. The new Mission Impossible rides they have are pretty freaking cool.

Nice meeting you man. I hope you got some ideas and you know we will help you get set up. start with your budget and we will try and guide you to your search and recovery goal. It seems daunting at first, but with a plan and some people helping you find deals you should be able to slowly work into it.

Glad to have the chance to meet you Jake. We will get you on the right track, and will make sure your doing it correctly. Get your budget, and wallet, together, and let us know how much money your ready to spend. We will point you in the right direction. On the plus side, after one night you already have a set of rims and tires, not to shabby! :excited:
