I plan on making it 3-4 days. I plan to leave Thursday afternoon, arriving around 6am. Nap time until everyone else shows up! lol Then if we leave around 3pm on Sunday, we should get back to my place around 3am Monday morning. So I'm expecting around an 84 hour hussle!

I am blessed with some great surroundings. I just need to stop working on house projects and get out and enjoy them!

I made the drive down to Harrisonburg last Tuesday. As your going south on I-81, are the mountains on the left or right as you go through which GWNF is at? I don't remember how long it took since I had to stop in Jersey first. Very scenic area tho, still trying to gt the time off......

There on that left going south on I-81. However, technically they are on both sides, since 81 slices down thru it. But the most prominent are on the left towards the coast. :thumleft:

The mountains to the east of 81 near harrisonburg are actually part of skyline drive. Fairly touristy. The ones we go to are to the west (right as you're driving south), basically on the WV - VA border.

Speaking of Skyline - Sept 20th is probably going to be near the beginning of the leaves changing colors around here. Skyline will be bumper to bumper when that happens. Hopefully it will not affect the drive on I-81...

Depends on the year, but usually 50's and 60's during the day. It can get into the 30's at night, but usually 40's.

Not sure about Montanna, but in the area where we're going it will be pretty nice. Not too cold. Nights regularly get down to 50. Record low is like 35 during that time. Highs can be 80 during the day. Normally more like 75.
