Unless of course, there's a black market value on Fugawis. Then we have to discuss financials. Just saying.

Oh so there ARE things more important than a weekend in the woods! lol

A week in the doghouse! Avoiding it anyway.

I wouldn't say "more important", lol, just the realization that the wifey would probably tear her hair out if left alone with the in-laws. I still wish he could go, cause I know he wants to. Heck, I want to even more than he does. It was a blast last time, and it would be fun to listen to Mike and James talk about traveling out West. It's my favorite topic, and it's rare that we get to sit down in person with someone who loves going out on expeditions out West as much as we do.

I would rather not. Apparently I am failing at preventing being poor and it is affecting my ability to go on trips like this. I really need his advice, so I can help with the hunt.

So as someone who's only been to one TECORE, where James took a LOT of pictures and video :raspberry:, is there a difference in the Fall TECORE? I know James mentioned no video or pictures, but are the trails different? Longer trail time? Different camping sites?

The spring TECORE 8 that we went on, and the Fall TECORE 7 I went on were essentially the same trials and itinerary. On TECORE 8 we started earlier and did an extra trail we didn't do on 7, but they had done in the past. (The shorter dead end "rock garden" trail with the mud hole at the beginning.) Outside of that, the only other difference was the camping spots because people were already in the spots we used on TECORE 8. On 7 we camped up just below the top of flagpole knob and in the meadows below the power lines we drove through.

I'm waiting for TWCORE.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

I don't really go in with much of a plan. I ask if people want something different, if so, I try some sorta side trail that sometimes gets us lost. If not, then we just hit the normal stuff.

Regarding stopping... it wholly depends on how I feel at the time. Sometimes I'm really motivated, other times I just want to relax.

In other words, you might need to motivate him. :poke: Fishsticks is motivated by beer, :finger: but some guys need the whip, to get them moving. :angry whip:
The problem with the Trailblazer is, people think you know what you're doing.

I'm down if that T can be loosely interpreted to both TrailBlazer and Toyota.

There's a huge event over Labor Day weekend. I post about them every year but no one here ever shows up.

It'd be interesting to see if we could get up that trail we turned around on in the spring. Kinda wish we had forged ahead looking back on it. I still wonder where that woulda gone.

There seems to be more than a few other trails around there that we haven't done the last two outings. I meandered around a lil bit when I was down there with the misses and ran across a good bit I hadn't seen before. I hesitated to explore too much since I was solo and if things went really wrong (I shudder to think of it going worse than it did) I'd probably never get her back out in the woods.

I've only been down for two TECOREs but it seems to largely depend on the group, if everyone wants to explore and get lost then it seems we do it. If we have a group that is more risk adverse we take it easy and just camp and shoot the shit.

This time I need to pack a few days early so I can make sure I pack everything I want to bring, I've forgotten shit everytime I've been down there.

I'm not certain where that trail goes, I'm 90% sure its not-designated as a road, looking back at my trail maps. I can lay out some other spots we can try to hit, but it all involves deeper areas, and I don't really know where the camp sites are there. I guess that's the tricky game. You want to wheel as long as possible, but you want to be early enough to the camp site to grab it for yourself. Otherwise you can end up squishing into some random spot.
