Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

steering pump mayhem

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

The other day as i was charging :viking: through a nice mud hole i got this awesome whine sound and no power steering :wallbash: so after getting home and replacing the pump with a new cardone pump my baby was up and running again till last night when the brand new pump whined and quit
not even 100 miles on the new pump
so here is my question. is there a better stronger tougher not gonna break powersteering pump?
or is my pump going out related to a different problem?

How new/clean is your fluid? Contaminates and debris in the fluid can kill a pump pretty quick. Might want to consider a filter on the return line. Also, Cardone reman pumps are known to suck. Try to get a Delco reman pump or shell out for a new one.

No problem. I recently replaced my PS pump and was warned to steer clear on the Cardone pumps.

Good luck.
