Has anyone done seat replacement for front seats? Aftermarket like Corbeau or such?

Im guessing, no. But you never know. Replacing the front seats will render the air bag system inoperable unless you can bypass the seat stuff.

Suggestion due to the air bag dilema, just go in and have your seats reupholstered with more padding to act as bolstering. It's about the only thing I could think of short of bypassing the airbag i'd rather keep.

The issue I am having is the electric seat and the bracing to the acuator under it that moves the front of the seat up and down. The front mounts are broken. I am a big guy 230 pounds and trying to figure out what the best option might be.

Someone may chime in with more information, but are all the drivers side TB seats electric? Maybe what you need is a bracket from a non electric seat that doesn't have this inherent weakness. Maybe from a Colorado or another model that will work.

Of course this is moot if you wish to keep the electric seat adjustments. Then maybe it just needs some re-enforcement added so that it is stronger.

I thought I read someplace that manual seats for the driver was an option. That may be for the 06 and newer though. You would think that you could take a seat out of another TB and it would work.

You can also run down to an upolstery shop. This is actually a pretty common problem (worked at one in highschool). They will pull the cover, and foam off, weld up the problem area, even reinforce it if need be, then slap it back together. It was usually pretty cheap because they are not out any material, and labor rates are fairly cheap.

This might be the best option, I'm 275 and I haven't had any problems with my electric seat yet and I've had it 4yrs 100,000 miles, but I was only about 210 when I bought the truck.
