Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

About 2 weeks ago I checked if my 4wd was engaging propertly and while on 4hi I lifted my passenger side tire and it was spinning, yesterday just to dobble check I did the same prosses, but in this oportunity the tire spinned just a little beat and then stopped.
In my oppinion looks like the transfer case is not working propertly, If I am wrong correct me, It is normal that the tire rotate just a little beat before got engage?
I will do this prosses againg soon to see whats going on

I'm usually pretty good about deciphering "phone posts", but I'm calling for a re-write...

In my opinion, it seems like the transfer case is not working properly. If I am wrong, correct me. Is it normal that the tire rotates just a little bit before it engages?

I will do this process again soon to see whats going on.

Fixed that for you. See the difference?

I would definitely repeat the process. I did't see anything in your post that would lead to failure between the two tests.

Disconnects can often be finicky like that. If it's an intermittent issue like you say, I'd bet that your disconnect is at the in-between stage where it's worn out, but can sometimes still connect if you "hold your mouth right"...

Tear down the disconnect, regrease it at a minimum - you might also need new bearings and probably a new outer seal.

I think James is probably barking up the right tree here, won't know for sure until you crack it open though.

A good exterior indication of the wear can be found by getting under the vehicle, and pushing up on the tripod joint on the passenger side. If it moves more than 1/16" or so, you have what I would call "excessive wear".

I dunno James, my experience says otherwise. I'd say more than an 1/8" is not a stretch to be "normal".
I made a post about this since I was a little concerned as I got to really poking around the front end. The play seemed excessive. This was back in my earlier days of the platform. While I was talking about the drivers side and not the passenger side, I found there to be a lot more play in the tripot than I (or anyone else apparently) would have suspected. There's a significant amount of slop in the tripot end of our CV's... and maybe it's the cause of us seeing the completely destroyed bearings before many of our members notice.

To be honest I'm still a little puzzled that this amount of play is normal or acceptable. But new bearings didn't change anything and everything seemed in good working order. Granted that video is of the drivers side, but the pass side isn't massively different.

Here's the thread for reference.
