Do you have limiting straps, or is the shock the down-limiting element like it is for the GMT360? Man, this just reminds me I have to call Johnny for some limiting straps.

No straps. I run leafs in the rear though. My shocks are my limiters on the down side, but by the time I reach that limit, I'm actually pulling against the spring on that side. It also probably means I'm about to go over. You have a point.

My concern would be more with proper bumpstop placement, as that's probably where he's going to stress those attachments.

How thick is the metal there anyway? I can't tell if he welded the nut to the front or to the back either.

Tenny, be cool with Mike. He knows his shit and rarely goes after someone maliciously. I'm a big know-it-all (and can usually back it up) but he's put me in my place more than once.

Looks from the picture to be welded onto the outside, therefore putting all of the pressure on the weld, not merely holding the nut in place with the weld, like if it were on the inside.

I just went and measured. The frame right to the rear of there is right at 1/8" thick.

Tenny, if you just want to mount the stock length shock there instead of buying the right shocks, I just looked, and it would be pretty easy to sleeve a bolt/tube through the frame, right there, as there's nothing on the back side of that, at least on the driver's side where I was laying under there today.

can also be converted to do tig welding, but have never done that.

That makes more sense on the plasma cutter!

On the MIG/TIG, though, I'm still fuzzy. The only "352" that Miller has ever made, afaik, is the Invision 352, which is like a $13k power supply and separate feeder, that does pulse, but does not do TIG. The Millermatic 350 does pulse, as well, but does not TIG. The XMT350 does MIG with a separate feeder, and does TIG/stick.

lmao

I DO know that it is no longer made, but the guy I talked to (customer serv.) said
that I need to order parts for a 140millermatic, if that makes any sense to you...ehh

if you want, ill take a picture and you can print one out and keep it in your wallet or something...??
would you like that..?? its no problem bro.

and YES, it is blue, the serial number is 352, I assume that's the model#

its 110, its about 2 feet long a foot wide has 3 wires coming out of it
(one out the back, two out the front), I have a green ARGON gas bottle
on the cart it sits on, my plasma cutter sits underneath the welder.

Hahahahaha

I lost interest after the first page with this guy. Just came back when I saw 12 pages and it seems like the whole "give credit where credit is due" motto hasn't sunk in with this guy. I'm surprised you guys are still playing this game.

OK, yeah. You are likely trying to describe a Millermatic 135, which was the predecessor to the 140. It does not pulse. It does not do even DC TIG. With gas and solid wire, that welder will do 1/8", and with flux core wire, that welder will do 3/16".

However, if it doesn't say 135 on it, yeah, I'd like a picture of it to keep in my wallet. You can just post it here, and I'll save it as and print it myself. Thanks, bro.

spacers came....billet, hub centric, chrome lug nuts....great quality!!!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! [Edited by the Roadie: A vendor who will get no mention here for historical failures of competence and customer support.]

33s(285/70/17) fit with very little trimming (a little plastic)

the truck looks and drives great.

ended up 39.5in in the rear 38.25 in the front

very, very satisfied with the results

thanks guys for the inspiration and ideas, I will be bowing out gracefully. as I am NOT liked here
and I no longer wish to be apart of this forum, I thought (at the time) it was a good idea.
it seems IT WASNT......again I want to thank the members who PMd me, WE WILL CONTINUE
TO TALK, I have a few of your phone numbers# and will be meeting soon for some builds (cant wait).
and I want to thank the members who answered some of my SIMPLE questions about alignment,

THANK YOU.

You know, back before the Web, but as a huge advance over mailing lists and bulletin boards, communities formed around Usenet Newsgroups. I administered my company's connection back in 1983 when 1200 baud modems were the enabling technology, and there were *only* around 300 newsgroups. (I was pretty active in rec.aviation and news.admin.net-abuse.email, for instance)

Even back then, we old-timers had a problem with people losing an argument, so they invented an invisible army of unverifiable supporters, and declared "The Lurkers Support Me In Email". It was so predictable it was humorous.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lurker

http://onlinemanship.wikia.com/wiki/The ... nt_support

The more things change.....the more they stay the same.
