Ah, yes, now I see his intro, posted one hour before this thread, where he states he is planning 3-4" of lift...

Odd, he sure installed that fast.

Either way, the only way as far as I know, to get that much lift in spec is to flip UCAs.

yes, very observant James.

as you have read in my intro, I plan on a lift (which is done)
then 33s (maybe 35s) along with other things, goodies here and there.

but I just wanted to know if it was possible to get the alignment
IN FACTORY SPEC. AT A 4IN LIFT HEIGHT or at least close enough
for a daily driver, before I order and put my tires on.....so yea, im far
from finished with my plan, if that what youre asking...???

MIKEY...??? is this post clear enough for you to read..???
did I mis-spell anything, or leave out a period or something..??
lemme know, thanks bro

Just a thought, I installed my 2500HD tie rod ends at the same time as my lift so I could get 1 alignment.

As for the 4" of suspension lift, I don't know of anyone who has got it within specs with that much lift. I rather doubt it actually. 3" suspension lift seems to be the limit for a daily driver. I love mine for the record.

Since the lever arm is 2/3 of the way out the LCA, you really only need 2.75" of spacer to get 4" or so of lift. We just don't know anybody selling such a spacer, or how anyone could compress a spring like 88's to get it in the strut.

One pic. That's all people are asking.

The reason Mark and others stopped at selling 2" spacers for 3" of lift is the inner CV joint binding problem. What brand CV axles are you running that can go past this barrier? We'd seriously like to know.

Now as to the alignment, you need to machine the mounting slots in the LCA inner bracket to give the bracket more room to be pushed inwards toward the center of the oil pan. Unless you do this, alignment will be impossible, and you'll be stuck (like me) with constant wear from the bad camber. If you rotate the tires and remount them every 10K miles inside out, you might get 20-30K on the tires. That was enough for me because I tear them up on rocks faster than I wear them out on pavement.

Or you can fab longer UCAs.

The geometry demands it.

I have the 3" lift with 88s (maybe pushing 4" lift) and flipped control arms and had no real issue aligning it. I know there is a picture of the print out of my alignment on here as well.

Take the lower control arms loose and shove them way out and just try to get the toe close before you go. If it looks closer, they tend to do better.....or they end up like you and assume it is too far out to ever get in and only do it halfass. I found an alignment guy that had a lifted truck and he ended up loving my truck.

We have several opinionated members that do not have near the experience or knowledge throwing around attitude and opinion, I apologize. What you desire can and has been done.

Can you share some pics of your lift so we can see how it looks now and give some insight to help you possibly?

Go through my posts...no attitude change here. I have been trying to help new members, but it has been a downhill slide with the treatment of them for months. I just pointed out the facts. Hopefully we can enable newbies rather than trash their initial experience. Some hazing/smartass commentary is to be expected, but it has gone beyond that recently and by members that are relatively newbies themselves.

You never know when the guy wanting chrome 20s and a mall lift will have a resource to get a diff drop lift or a cheap oil pan for SAS's. We can easily direct them to GMT rather than bash them. No need to burn bridges that we do not know what is on the other side of.

Post count and how long you've been on the forum doesn't equate to knowledge or experience Kyle, as you just pointed out yourself.

As has already been pointed out by James, the thread starter had already introduced himself saying what he wanted to do, then started this thread, saying he'd already accomplished more lift than most of us are familiar with anyone doing. So excuse us for raising the bullshit flag and scratching our heads.

Next time, I'll be sure to post alignment specs.

I don't have 4 inches of suspension, but I was able to get mine pretty close within spec. As others recommended, flip the control arms.
