Yeah I read that one last night lot of great info but I don't know which code is my front springs on the tag in the glove box. I looked on the spring as well and can't find a color or a stamping. I don't see any codes that match mine exactly and as far as which code it is...

There were a lot of them, especially in the early years, and they somewhat consolidated later. You can almost bet that you got 93s if you have a swb 4x4. Rough estimates like that are in that thread if you read.

I wish I had gone with adapters at this point, but I also wish I went significantly bigger in tire size as well. It really depends on what your end goals are. Originally I was just going to do 32s and the suspension lift. I wish I had started with 35s now. If you're going to use stock wheels indefinitely use spacers, otherwise, get adapters.

As a side note, your post was difficult to understand.

Sometimes there's some good information buried deep in the threads. Sometimes they can be be a bit hard to find! I might try to update the first post and bring the relevant information in.

if you think you will ever go 285 wide or wider then go ahead and get the adapters. If $$$ is an issue, you can keep an eye out on CL for full sized take off rims.
If you think you will stay under 285 then just get the adapters and rock your stock wheels.

If you are on the fence though, keep an eye on the classifieds here, GMTNation and trailvoy and you might find some adapters/spacers there at a discount.

Edited the first post

I want to end up with 33-35 inch tires
I think I will get the spacers for a while then swap them out for adapters rims and tires later
The tires now are pretty new so I can hold off or a little bit

if you want to end up with 33-35s, get wheels and adapters. Otherwise you'll spend the money twice and for no good reason. Sell your current tires/wheels on craigslist and call it a day.

I was reading about the 3/8 washers as a spacer for the strut rod topping out with the 81114's
I read a few different counts on what was used. Do you guy wished you used one or two more or even less. Thinking I may start with six and go from there.

I also decided to go with the adapters and the bigger bolt pattern 6 lug rim
Gonna go with the 16x8 ion 171 polished

Should have parts start rolling in on sat so it won't be too long.

I used 6 3/8" washers this time and it seems to work just fine. The wheels still rotated at full droop and the ride improved further. It seemed to really help with topping out. It's pretty important to make sure that after you install the assembly that you can still spin the wheel at full droop without the CV/tripot binding up. This does mean that you might need to remove the shock/spring assembly, take it back apart, and remove a washer, but it beats blowing up an axle or worse.
Specifically I used some zinc coated washers from autozone... kinda wonder if I should have used some hardened washers now. We'll see what happens.
My hesitation to use more washers was due to the height of the nut getting close to being over the allen key portion of the shock rod. Since this portion easily cracks I didn't see it prudent to use that area to support the nut that keeps the shock attached to the truck. YMMV

For some reason the washer addition isn't commonly used. I dunno why.

Still waiting on a few small things in order to get going. I do have a question on the 15 inch wheel thread.I see two of you guys ran these wheel, one still is. I found a good price on 15x8 6x5.5 alloy rims and may be 33's... My question is I know from reading they are a tight fit. I see you were able to run a bs of 3.75 on a 15x8. The rims I found have a 26mm offset which I believe would wind up being 3.375 also running marks adapters. I like the look and the wider track for a lift truck so I'm not worried about the tire sitting out plus I have a few pba cards for the locals guys! Any comments/suggestions. Im getting married in a month so money is tight and if i can get these for two hundred bucks a posed to prob1200. Im jones-en to get this up in the air and muddy soon!

Thanks

Was looking at these rims and did my searching and math both of which aren't great.
I'm thinking of 16x8 with zero offset which I believe is 4" bs. Plus I have marks adapters so that is a total of 1 1/2. So would my total be 5 1/2"? I have never bought new rims or tires ever I alway find good deals. Our tb's come with a 7" from the factory so I am looking at from factory a 1 1/2 wider track on these wheels! This is a twelve hundred dollar question so even for a noob here, this question may slide by.lol it's kinda like measure six times cut once!
Thanks

Get a 25 offset wheel. 0 offset + adapters will stick waaay out. It'll work, but I believe NJ is one of those stickler states for fender coverage.

Factory offset is 60.
I own too many vehicles now. Let's leave it at that.
