Is there a upgrade replacement for the upper ball joints? I've been searching and all I find is an OEM type replacements.

Nope. I don't own a set. Can't be hard to find. I helped Regulator press his a couple weeks ago. I think mist parts stores either stock them or they can order them.

Go to O'reilly's website and search up the ball joints there. They do sell Moog and you can get the part number. You can get them from O'Reilly's but they are most likely special order and you can find them for about half the price(ish) from Amazon

There's not really any "upgrades". There are different brands and you'll get opinions that are all over the map concerning which is best. Go to your parts store or online retailer and look up the part for your vehicle, then pick a brand you wanna try.

I don't think we've ever seen any UBJ failures, so its not really on the list of stuff we NEED to upgrade. Get one with a grease fitting, and keep it lubed - otherwise they can wear out fast. The stock ACDelcos also seem to last a real long time, as long as that seal remains intact.

I replaced mine with ACDelco at the same time i replaced the diffs.... the seal is already torn... before i ever hit a trail.
Suppose I just gotta be vigilant with the grease. Any thoughts on repairing the small tear? JB Weld? Copious amounts of electrical tape? A mixture of both?
