Matt nailed it. It may be possible with the right backspacing, the only verified and tested combo is with 17s. That's why I was asking about his wheels cause he was talking 16s for a good while.

Since the caliper tapers down on the outside I would think that if the inside of the rim stayed outside the high point of the caliper a 16 could work. The tires would definitely stick out a good bit though.
