Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Roof height?

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

HARDTRAILZ is right, you'd be far ahead of the game by piecing together your own endlinks.

With the lower a arm bushings you'd be far ahead of the game to buy the lower a arms. You can purchase the bushings and replace them, but it's a tremendous amount of work for the money you save... this is coming from a guy that has done both multiple times.

You thought wrong.

Barton posted all the details to building your own. Pretty simple. I have built a couple and they work.

Correct me, if I'm wrong, but I thought the general consensus around here was to NOT support SMAXX. The reason being, they basically ripped off MarkMC's design of the lifts for our platform.

im not much of a "build my own" kinda guy. more of a "purchase one" type. I just have read a lot of posts here and on gmt nation about the smaxx links so i assumed they were the "go to" end link. what other options are out there? Barton has a quick disco end link set up i think but i don't know if i'll ever need the disco part. i'm building up the tb to use as a tow rig for my ATV. so mostly for access roads and mild(ish) off roading. most of my intense off roading will be done on my quad.

once again, thanks everyone for your participation.

edit: found the instrucions for building in Bartons disco thread, guess he never produced the discos.

I think Smaxx is great as far as their endlinks go, I've got them on my rig.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

He never produced them because you can buy the parts and just screw them together. Then when parts wear out you can replace just those parts instead of the entire endlink. I think Moots up here in NY has some spare pins he'll sell you too so you don't have to buy a pack.
You could just buy some stock replacements if you don't think you'd use the disconnects.

i thought of that but wont the stock replacemnets just wear out really fast? i thought that was why people were looking at others rather than just replacing with stock.

It took me 1 hour to build the Links and that is because I did not have a drill press and it is not the easiest to drill through grade 8 1/2 bolts. They work great... just keep up with greasing the heim joints or they will wear quickly.

maybe faster than they do when you're at stock height, but they should last a couple years. Most people were looking for something that would easily disconnect if I recall correctly.

I built some for a couple people. Need to build myself a new set.

I currently have my original stock links on though. They have a good 30k lifted miles and 90k non lifted. Still good.
