Rear Shocks For What?

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

Worked on the rear axle more today, added washers between the brake line mount and the frame and relocated the e-brake cable mount. I understand the function of the panhard bar, the issue is that it moves the axle to the right and hence the top driver side trailing arm drops down on top of the upper sway bar link. I just slowly kept letting the axle drop until the shocks stopped the axle from dropping anymore and the sway bar link did indent into the upper trailing arm, but the overall arm is not bent, just indented.

Today I removed the 2" SMAXX spacers as I had 39" to the fender at the centerline of the rear wheels, resulting in 4" of rake. BUT the longer shocks only have 4-5" of downward travel left before they bottom out. Anyone else seeing this or am I the only one with Z71 springs and no spacers? Also the springs are a little loose at full droop even with rear sway bar attached, they wont fall out, but they do move a little.
