New tires

Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

I got these today. I stayed with the 285/70R17. I was wanting to go to 35/12.50R17, but I didn't want to wait for the body lift any longer and figure with 33" I might break less stuff! :flex dirty:

Looks good. Fair warning, I hear they have horrible tread life. Something like 20-25k before they are shot.

25K on a set of tires is a dream for me. Good traction seems to come with soft tread.

My pro comps are about 25,000 miles and about half tread. I expect near 50,000 out of them. My old bfg mt got 60,000 miles.

Wonder why you are not getting decent mileage from tires... I expect any new mt tire other than bias or swamper to get about 40000. Seems to be typical with all the guys I wheel with.
