That has been a thought, but I will be swapping between double low, and low fairly often on trails (I get bored on easy stuff and want to move on) So i dont know if hidden is a great idea (although that may change)

Could you find a pic of the shift levers you are thinking?
That space is only a hair over 1" wide next to the shifter.

Build a new console so you can put everything where it needs to be rather than where the factory wanted the main shifter to be forcing you to work around it for your two transfer case levers.

Ill look into it, its just a little metal fab.
But, I think the only thing I would change is moving the main shifter back a couple inches, but since most of the time it will be spent down in 1st or 2nd, the handle will already be back where Im comfortable.
I still need to see exactly where linkage will come through the floor.

What about taking the parking brake lever out and utilizing that space?

Was your plan to just hook up the cabling from the new axle to the existing handle?
Maybe you could migrate it over to the left of the driver's seat like in an older Vette. Not much room, but it will give you better access to the t-case shifters.

Yes, eventually a cage, park brake is a requirement for some of the things I want to use the TB for.

Im going to look at moving the e-brake lever to under my right leg, against the console. Then putting the shifters in the e-brake handle location.
If it works out that my be the easiest solution.

There's room beyond the e-brake handle... on the passenger side of the trans tunnel. Just add a little box. Won't get in the way of passengers.

Any possibility of moving the E-brake to a left side foot pedal like most trucks have? Probably more work than it's worth, but parts should be easy to get. I always liked the E-brake down there anyway.
